What is body size?

Body size refers to the actual body measurements without any loosing added to it, taken off your body using a measurements.

The key is to stand relaxed and take relaxed measurements using a measuring tape.

Knowing your body size is important because accurate body size can help us design the pants that fit best on your unique body shape.

 

What Measurments Do You Need For Dress Pants?

Waist circumference

  1. Stand upright and straight with your feets joined. 
  2. Relax your stomach. (Dont hold your breath)
  3. Locate your natural waistline, where you keep the wasit band of your pants. 
  4. Wrap the measuring tape around your natural waist line & note down the exact measurement in inches.

Hips circumference

  1. Stand upright with your feet together and your weight evenly distributed on both feet.
  2. Locate the widest part of your hips.
  3. Wrap the measuring tape around your hips and measure it in inches

Thighs circumference

  1. Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart
  2. Locate the widest part of your thighs, which is typically located where the crotch ends
  3. Wrap the measuring tape around your thighs and measure it in inches.

Knee & Calf Circumference

  1. Sit on a chair and bent your knee to 90 degree angle.
  2. Locate the knee-joint.
  3. Wrap the measuring tape around your knee joint and measure it in inches.

  4. And for the calf, you just have to stand straight and measure the widest part of the calf

Measuring Rise

    1. Front and back rise can be measured together or separately. 
    2. There is usually a 2-3 inches difference between the front and back rise with the back being longer

Length

Measuring length for dress pants
  1. Stand straight
  2. Locate the natural waist
  3. Measure the length from the waist to the bottom of your ankle in inches.
  4. Locate the bottom of your leg
  5. Wrap the measuring tape around your bottom and measure it in inches

Some important things to keep in mind: 

  • You can also send us your best-fit pant.
  • Try to be as detailed as you can be while sending us your size.
  • Make sure that the fabric is not stretchable if you are taking measurements off of your existing pants.
  • Always mention the measurements in inches, and note down if you have taken all round measurements or half measurements.
  • If you have a customized cut in mind be sure to share reference pictures that are clear and go over as much detail as possible.
